IaC Bazaar vs Spacelift
IaC orchestration platform (TACOS) · Spacelift site
Runs and governs your IaC pipelines - its module registry ships empty until you author your own.
Different layer - they complement us
Spacelift runs and governs your Infrastructure-as-Code; it does not sell verified modules. IaC Bazaar supplies the modules. They work together: run our verified, signed modules inside Spacelift.
What Spacelift is
A SaaS + self-hosted IaC orchestration platform (TACOS): Stacks, Runs, private worker pools with encrypted payloads, OPA/Rego policy-as-code, drift detection, OIDC dynamic credentials, RBAC, SSO/SAML. Its private module registry hosts the modules YOU author; it ships no pre-built content.
Pricing
Sales-led. Free tier (2 users, 1 public worker); the entry paid tier is Starter+ at about $20,000/yr (annual-only); Business/Enterprise are custom quotes. The earlier ~$399/mo monthly Starter tier was discontinued in 2026.
Where IaC Bazaar wins
- We ARE the modules: Spacelift’s registry is empty until you write every module yourself. We supply ready-made, verified modules you drop straight into a Spacelift pipeline.
- We publish live-test evidence and cosign signatures on the modules we provide; Spacelift live-tests only the modules you author and does not sign a distributed catalog.
- Transparent, self-serve, a-la-carte pricing plus a free tier, vs. a ~$20k/yr entry and custom quotes above it.
- A public catalog API + MCP so an agent can find verified modules and cite their evidence before you buy anything (reading a module’s input/output contract needs a signed-in account). Spacelift has no public catalog to query - its registry holds only what you authored.
Where Spacelift leads
- End-to-end run orchestration and GitOps CI/CD - a whole layer we deliberately do not provide.
- Enterprise governance: OPA policy-as-code at every stage, approvals, drift detection, audit trails, SSO/SAML/MFA, RBAC.
- Broad multi-IaC (Pulumi, CloudFormation, Terragrunt, Kubernetes), plus self-hosted/on-prem and a FedRAMP-Moderate-authorized SaaS.
- Real live plan-apply-destroy testing of your OWN modules is a feature they ship.
The honest take
Spacelift is an IaC orchestration/CI-CD platform (a TACOS) that RUNS and governs your pipelines. It complements a module marketplace rather than competing with it: Spacelift supplies the runner and its registry stays empty until you author your own modules, whereas IaC Bazaar supplies the ready-made, independently-verified modules you drop straight into a Spacelift pipeline.
